Crepe myrtle Zuni

Height: 1,8 m

Zuni is a shrub or a little tree which emanates a Mediterranean feeling. Its height can reach 2-3m. The leaves are elliptical, soft and shiny. The 3-4cm, purple-pink, wide flowers bloom in 10-20cm sympodial panicles from July to the end of September. Zuni loves sunlight and warmth and also well- structured soil. It needs watering regularly especially while blooming. It forbears frost but you should plant it in a protected area. Zuni’s form depends on how we shape it: as a shrub or as a little tree. Since the new flowers grow on the new shoots, you should just prune the overblown parts, to urge them to produce new flowers. It is a popular ornamental shrub which gives the garden a mesmerizing look through the summer.
